The Mind Conspirators

More and more Americans today are coming to understand the terrible truth about our Federal Government -- that it seeks to dominate us as citizens, to mold us into a society of dutiful Stepford Wives totally beholden to the wishes of elite politicians, bureaucrats and bankers. Those who study history, independent of the public school system, understand that this state aggrandizement process has been under way for the past 100 years in America in one form or another, and that it is taking place because too many of our citizens sanction such dictatorial usurpation and actually work diligently for its implementation.

This process has resulted in the lion's share of our earnings being annually confiscated by these governmental elites and then redistributed to despicable projects of waste and war to further their dream of world collectivism. It has led to the shocking debasement of our currency and an endless escalation in the cost of staying alive. It has brought about the degeneration of our economy from a robust engine of industry and personal self-reliance to an effete conglomeration of bloated consumers subsisting on financial gimmickry and debt addiction. As a result, America, once a proud land of muscular factories and productive people, has become a stuporous society of shopping malls and welfare crybabies.

Why this process is taking place is one of the most disheartening questions in all of history. What follows is an attempt to show why and how it is unfolding. There are other reasons as to "why and how" than the ones given here. Tyranny's evolution is always a complex process with many forces coalescing to bring about freedom's demise. This essay, however, is a look into the two most important of those forces --ideas and money.

More than 50 papers join in front-page leader article on the SCAM known as climate change

In an unprecedented bid to launch a global cap and trade scheme and a massive global tax for just living and breathing..."56 newspapers worldwide will run the same front-page editorial promoting the climate-change myth and supporting the globalist agenda at the Copenhagen climate-change conference this week. Here we see the collectivist mainstream media, not as a reporter of events, but as a major participant." ~ G Edward Griffin

More than 50 papers join in front-page leader article on climate change

Opinion piece to be published in 56 papers across 45 countries – including the Guardian, Le Monde and two Chinese papers

The Guardian has teamed up with more than 50 papers worldwide to run the same front-page leader article calling for action at the climate summit in Copenhagen, which begins tomorrow.
This unprecedented project is the result of weeks of negotiations between the papers to agree on a final text, in a process that mirrors the diplomatic wrangling likely to dominate the next 14 days in Copenhagen.
Fifty-six papers in 45 countries published in 20 different languages have joined the initiative, and will feature the leader in some form on their front pages.
Among the titles taking part are two Chinese papers – the Economic Observer and the Southern Metropolitan – and India's second largest English-language paper, The Hindu.
Some of the world's best known papers, such as Le Monde, El Pais, Russia's Novaya Gazeta and the Toronto Star, are also on board.
The leader was the work of team of Guardian writers and editors and went through three drafts to arrive at a text that satisfied all the editors involved.
Alan Rusbridger, editor-in-chief of the Guardian, said: "Newspapers have never done anything like this before but they have never had to cover a story like this before. No individual newspaper editorial could hope to influence the outcome of Copenhagen but I hope the combined voice of 56 major papers speaking in 20 languages will remind the politicians and negotiators gathering there what is at stake – and persuade them to rise above the rivalries and inflexibility that have stood in the way of a deal."
The Guardian deputy editor Ian Katz, who co-ordinated the project, said: "The fact that papers from Moscow to Miami, with such different national and political perspectives, could agree on an editorial should offer some hope that our leaders might be able to do the same. We are bombarded with so much news and comment about climate change that many people are understandably tempted to go back to bed and pull the duvet over their heads – hopefully this improbable alliance will capture people's attention, and perhaps their imagination too."
The leader says that overcoming climate change "will take a triumph of optimism over pessimism, of vision over short-sightedness, of what Abraham Lincoln called 'the better angels of our nature'".
"It is in that spirit that 56 newspapers from around the world have united behind this editorial. If we, with such different national and political perspectives, can agree on what must be done then surely our leaders can, too."
Dubai's Gulf News, the Arabic language paper An Nahar of Lebanon and the Israeli paper Maariv are among the 16 Asian papers involved.
There are also 11 African papers participating, and nine from north, south and central America combined.
The sole English-language US paper represented is the Miami Herald. "This initiative offered the Miami Herald's editorial board a terrific opportunity to join other papers across the globe on an issue that is of paramount importance to Florida and to our nation," said the Herald's editorial page editor, Myriam Marquez.
The 20 European papers taking part include the Irish Times, Liberation, Suddeutsche Zeitung, La Repubblica and Turkish title Hurriyet.
And delegates in Copenhagen will find that two Danish papers, Dagbladet Information and Danish Politiken, are featuring the leader too.
Some papers, such as Japan's Asahi Shimbun, were not able to carry a shared leader as that would breach their editorial protocols but are carrying a news report about the initiative.
Two Australian papers, the Age and the Sydney Morning Herald, pulled out at a late stage after the election of climate change sceptic Tony Abbott as leader of the opposition Liberal party recast the country's debate on green issues.
Peter Cole, head of the journalism department at the University of Sheffield, praised the unprecedented collaboration between newspapers.
"This is a tremendous initiative and a good counter to the idea that nobody notices that the world is falling apart," he said. "If editors from nearly 50 countries all over the world, including all the major countries that contribute so much to global warming, can all agree, then surely the politicians in Copenhagen would be foolish to ignore it."
"Only one year ago, during the COP 14 summit in Poznan, governments promised us that they would deliver a breakthrough," said Konrad Niklewicz of Poland's Gazeta Wyborcza.
"Yet as the Copenhagen summit approached, their courage and leadership started to disappear. Politicians started to behave as we had plenty of time and no disaster looming. Yet the opposite is the case.
"Science tells us we have no more time, it is now or never. We can't let governments get away with yet another fudge and unfulfilled promises. Speaking with one voice, we will be heard."
N Ram, editor-in-chief and publisher of India's Hindu, added: "This is a splendid initiative, and with some luck and a lot of hard work it should turn out to be a significant media intervention, an example of how we can perform our social responsibility function. The Hindu feels happy and privileged to be part of this initiative and prospective intervention, and we are of course front-paging the global editorial with the impressive logo (the American absences notwithstanding)."

The Copenhagen Climate Change Treaty and The Bricker Amendment

The Copenhagen Climate Change Treaty: Obama, nor any other president, can Supercede the Constitution with a Treaty! This piece is excellent and gives documentation we need to fight the upcoming rash of world socialist treaties that Obama intends to sign:

    The Bricker Amendment

    By Justin Raimondo

The problem of international treaties superseding the U.S. Constitution and undermining the foundations of our Republic is not a new one. The conservative movement of the early 1950's, which looked on the United Nations with extreme suspicion, was particularly sensitive to this threat -- and they hit upon a solution: the Bricker Amendment.

Introduced into the Senate in February, 1952, as Senate Joint Resolution 130, the "Bricker Amendment" to the Constitution read as follows:
Section 1. A provision of a treaty which conflicts with this Constitution shall not be of any force or effect.

Section 2. A treaty shall become effective as internal law in the United States only through legislation which would be valid in the absence of treaty.

Section 3. Congress shall have power to regulate all executive and other agreements with any foreign power or international organization. All such agreements shall be subject to the limitations imposed on treaties by this article.

Section 4. The congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Mobilizing to support Bricker, conservatives built a grand coalition which included all the major veterans groups, the Kiwanis Clubs, the American Association of Small Business, many women's groups, as well as the conservative activist organizations of the time, such as the Freedom Clubs and the Committee for Constitutional Government. The conservative press joined in the campaign; writing in Human Events, Frank Chodorov said that...

The proposed amendment arises from a rather odd situation. A nation is threatened by invasion, not by a foreign army, but by its own legal entanglements. Not soldiers, but theoreticians and visionaries attack its independence and aim to bring its people under the rule of an agglomeration of foreign governments. This is something new in history. There have been occasions when a weak nation sought security by placing itself under the yoke of a strong one. But, here we have the richest nation in the world, and apparently the strongest, flirting with the liquidation of its independence. Nothing like that has ever happened before.

The breach in our defenses, said Chodorov, is in Article VI of the Constitution, which provides that "... All Treaties ...shall be the supreme Law of the Land... any Thing in the Constitution to the contrary notwithstanding." At the time of the Founders, the division between foreign and domestic policy was clear enough; there was never any intention, as Jefferson wrote, to enable the President and the Senate to "do by treaty what the whole government is interdicted from doing in any way."

But as the concept of limited government was eroded -- and under pressure from the endless stream of pacts, covenants, and executive agreements issuing forth from the United Nations and its American enthusiasts -- the chink in our constitutional armor widened. Just as the growth of administrative law had threatened to overthrow the old Republic during the darkest days of the New Deal, so under Truman and Eisenhower the burgeoning body of treaty law threatened to overthrow U.S. sovereignty. Executive agreements had created administrative law of a new type; treaties which sought to regulate domestic economic and social behavior to a degree never achieved by the Brain Trusters. If the New Deal had failed to completely socialize America, to conservatives it often seemed as if the United Nations seemed determined to finish the job. According to the UN Declaration of Human Rights, human beings were endowed with all sorts of "rights," including the right to a job and the right to "security." There were, however, certain significant omissions, chief among them the right to own and maintain private property.

Another equally glaring omission was the unqualified right to a free press, the regulation of which is left up to member nations. When three Supreme Court justices, including the Chief Justice, cited the UN Charter and the NATO treaty in support of their argument that Truman had the right to seize the steel mills, conservatives went into action -- and the fight for the Bricker Amendment began in earnest.

The Eisenhower Administration, and particularly the U.S. State Department, went all out to defeat the Amendment. Leading the opposition was Secretary of State John Foster Dulles. This was the same John Foster Dulles who had said, two years previous, that "The treaty power is an extraordinary power, liable to abuse," and warned that "Treaties can take powers away from the Congress and give them to the President. They can take powers from the states and give them to the federal government or to some international body and they can cut across the rights given to the people by their Constitutional Bill of Rights." Hammered with this quote by Clarence Manion, Dean of Law at Notre Dame University, and a leading proponent of the Bricker Amendment, Dulles could only take refuge in the argument that thisPresident would never compromise U.S. sovereignty.

Although the Bricker Amendment started out with fifty-six co- sponsors, it eventually went down to defeat in the U.S. Senate, 42-50, with 4 not voting. (A watered-down version, the "George proposal," lost by a single vote.) The defection of Senators William Knowland and Alexander Wiley from conservative Republican ranks on this occasion was particularly significant, and marked the beginning not only of Wiley's chairmanship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, but also the decline of the movement to put and keep America first.

As Frank E. Holman, president of the American Bar Association, and the sparkplug of the Bricker Amendment movement, wrote:

In the destiny of human affairs a great issue like a righteous cause does not die. It lives on and arises again and again until rightly won. However long the fight for an adequate Constitutional Amendment on treaties and other international agreements, it will and must be won. This will be the history of the Bricker Amendment as it has been the history of all other great issues and causes.

Holman's comments were published in 1954 as Story of the Bricker Amendment, (The First Phase) -- a title which one can only hope is prophetic.

Is It Time To Cross Partisan Lines and Unite To Fight A Common Enemy?

By William Cormier (about the author)

Today, on my site I received a comment that jolted my awareness and gave me great pause for thought and contemplation; I believe I have always had the gift of knowing when an individual is sincere - and Obama was by far from my first choice, and most of you know that I favored Kucinich and after him, Ron Paul, who had never in his life voted against our constitution. One phrase entered my mind, “Together we Stand, Divided we fall,” and that is what is occurring in our nation. We are being divided and fighting amongst one another, and while we're busy shouting accusations at the so-called opposition, our economy is being plundered and our nation is being conquered by the combined forces of Democrats and Republicans who are working together for corporate America - not “We the People.”

This is the comment I received, and I ask all of you to give it some thought. “Endgame”and the FEMA Internment Camps are real - we all know that. In the last Presidential election, we saw huge amounts of Republicans crossing the isle, disgusted with the Bush years and never-ending war who voted for Obama, and they are now as disgusted with him as we are. Like it or not, President Obama has shown his true colors and is nothing more than another lying politician who lied to the entire nation, not just to Liberals and Progressives. Please read this and give it some thought:

    “Mr. Cormier,

I respect your diligent efforts to examine the important issues that you write. You do so in a manner that does investigative journalism great merit.

However, I wish to express that I am nonplussed as to how or why it is that you continue to participate in the binary debate between Left/Right, Liberal/Conservative, and Democrat/Republican. As a former, life-long and devout Democrat–who finally took the red pill, or is it the blue pill, and woke up–I am dismayed to realize that even you do not see that the powers that are working behind the scenes are using the two parties to not only foment the legislative and administrative changes they seek, but also to divide and conquer the people. Are you so blind to the obvious structure of their campaign?

While you and the other side bicker back and forth, point fingers and place blame, they–and, yes, there is a “they”–run right down the middle, tightly clutching our money, goods, services, and, most shockingly, our rights as well. I never ever imagined in my younger days that I would say this, but here goes: Clinton was no better than Bush Sr, who was no better than Obama, who is proving now that he is no better than Bush Jr. They are all puppets in the game that we are in the 11th hour of losing.

We are wasting our time and energy focusing on the “other” party and thus buying time and power for those who would have us ALL at their behest and under their fascist control. God help us, but–I've got to give them credit–”they” are good, very good. Sadly, I think they have already conquered us, and by the time the masses wake up to this–and bloggers like yourself start bringing this awareness to the fore–it will be too late to stop the freight train that is now bearing down on us.

I do thank you for your work, effort, and patriotic devotion, but I would ask that you stop pointing your journalistic rifle at the Reds across the skirmish field, and, instead, strike accord with them–where it is readily available–and turn to face the real enemy who creeps by us well-cloaked in the darkness of our ignorance, fear, and preoccupation.”

We, as a nation, face a grave danger. Foreign interests are purchasing our mortgages, buying up large swaths of what is left of our industry, and the United States is so indebted to foreign nations that if we face reality - the United States of America is bankrupt! I believe that we are being sold out by both parties, not just Republicans, and I am not endorsing Glen Beck or Rush Limbaugh; in fact, nothing could be further from the truth! The purveyors of hate are in league with the same forces that are taking over our beloved country, and it is they and even our own Congress who are guilty of treason by consorting with enemies of the United States, working to stir up hate and animosity between our own compatriots who also desire nothing more than returning to our constitutional values and living in freedom and peace. Think about that"

Consider the sworn testimony of Sibel Edmonds and Deep Corruption Beneath the Surface. I was outraged that CNN, NBC, CBS, and even our greatest purveyor of hate,Fox News, didn't bother to report upon high treason by members of our Congress. In doing so, I may have overlooked the greater evil; what has Congress itself done to those that consort among their own ranks and have committed treason against the United States of America? Nothing. We are greeted with silence even though the Congress of this great nation casually overlook treason by some of their own"

We have read about the Bilderburgs and What they may be planning Now and are fully aware that it's not just another conspiracy theory. Furthermore, we should all remember the statement made by Henry Kissinger to CNBC and other News sources::
Concerning the New World Order, Power Elite agent Henry Kissinger in a recent CNBC interview said President Obama's “task will be to develop an overall strategy for America in this period when, really, a new world order can be created. It's a great opportunity: it isn't just a crisis.” Kissinger also wrote “The chance for a new world order” (International Herald Tribune, January 12, 2009) in which he explained: “The economic world has been globalized". In the end, the political and economic systems can be harmonized in only one of two ways: by creating an international political regulatory system with the same reach as that of the economic world; or by shrinking the economic units to a size manageable by existing political structures, which is likely to lead to a new mercantilism, perhaps of regional units". The extraordinary impact of the President-Elect on the imagination of humanity is an important element in shaping a new world order". The role of China in a new world order is equally crucial". The current crisis can be overcome only by developing a sense of common purpose". An international order can be permanent only if its participants have a share not only in building but also in securing it.” MORE
Are we playing into the Elite's hands by bickering among ourselves instead of coming together to fight against a common enemy? I believe that it is worth your time and contemplation to give this concept a great deal of thought - and those who stand on the other side may share a common interest rather than being our enemies. I am not speaking of Neo-conservatives that embrace what most of us believe to be an abomination, but every day Republicans that also embrace our constitution and the American way of life. If we don't solidify our ranks and use every asset at our disposal, how are we alone to win this battle? I believe it's time to unite America against a common enemy, not fight amongst ourselves and allow our nation to be parceled off to the highest bidder. The United States belongs to the people, all of us, not the wealthy politicians and Wall Street criminals who are selling us out for their own financial gain. Perhaps I'm wrong, but as it stands today, we're losing, and badly, so maybe it's time to close ranks and fight together, shoulder to shoulder, against the enemies of democracy.

    William Cormier

I am nothing more than a patriotic American that is doing whatever I can to further the cause of democracy, the rule of law, and am absolutely outraged on how the Bush administration is defying our Congress, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights! Footnote: I write in a style that I believe is appropriate in today's world where we can't trust the Mainstream News Media, and rather than concentrating on one article alone, which may or may not receive the exposure and emphasis it should, I prefer to meld several relevant stories together, that each taken alone may not expose the entire situation, but when taken-in as a whole, tend to give the reader a better understanding of the subject. One article or story alone does not represent the "Big Picture" - but when several are effectively tied-together it often reveals a trend or broader view of the subject matter that is important to completely understand any given situation. http://justanothercoverup.com/

HR 2749: WELCOME TO THE GLOBAL PLANTATION

    By Doreen Hannes
    August 14, 2009
    NewsWithViews.com

HR 2749 Authorizes International Take-Over of Domestic Food Production

HR 2749 AUTHORIZES NAIS and OTHER INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS

Congressional staffers have been telling people that HR 2749, the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009, does not authorize the National Animal Identification System (NAIS). Many organic groups have agreed with them. However, this is misleading. Though HR 2749 does not name "the" National Animal Identification System, it still authorizes the program. It also does not state that it legally authorizes Good Agricultural Practices, or GAP, partially comprising Codex guidelines on traceability and food safety, and the OIE's Guide to Good Farming Practices including auditing, certification and inspections, disincentives for not participating in the form of fines, penalties, and loss of access to market, but it does. Is it possible that Congress was not aware of what it voted on? The bill was changed three times in a 24-hour period before passing the House 283-142 on July 30, 2009.

Are these assertions about HR 2749 wild and unsubstantiated? Proving them is fairly easy—just understand “Good Agricultural Practices” (GAP), how the agencies of the World Trade Organization operate within member countries to achieve them and what comprises the actual jurisdiction of the FDA and USDA. A brief explanation follows, along with substantiating quotes from HR 2749.
First we look to jurisdiction in HR2749….

"Nothing in this Act or any amendment made by this Act shall be construed to alter the jurisdiction between the Secretary of Agriculture and the Secretary of Health and Human Services, under applicable statutes and regulations…" (p.3&4)

Then, tossing our preconceived notions to the wind and looking to law instead, we find that congressional testimony of the FDA on establishing a single food safety agency and a myriad of other sources including the FAO (Food and Ag Organization of the UN), the FDA statements on the Bioterrorism Act of 2002, and many books on food law affirm that FDA has jurisdiction over live food animals:

"FDA is the Federal agency that regulates 80 percent of the nation’s food supply-everything we eat except for meat, poultry, and certain egg products, which are regulated by our partners at USDA. FDA’s responsibility extends to live food animals…"

So then what is the authority of the USDA? It is over agricultural disease, animals in the slaughter channel or transport, marketing (like grading of eggs and certification of processes) and the end product of many (but not all) food animals; meat. This is why NAIS always had to be "about disease" because the USDA couldn't run it otherwise! The exemption section on USDA regulated products is a dust up. Most people think the USDA has authority over live food animals, but it is the FDA after all. They surrender "cow, sheep or goat for milk production", but the FDA retains authority of the fluid milk and when the animal is no longer productive for milking, it's into the slaughter channel (under USDA) or out to pasture (back to FDA) anyway!

"Livestock and poultry that are intended to be presented for slaughter pursuant to the regulations by the Secretary of Agriculture under the Federal Meat Inspection Act or the Poultry Products Inspection Act are exempt from the requirements of this Act. A cow, sheep, or goat that is used for the production of milk is exempt from the requirements of this Act." (p.5 of HR2749)

HR 2749 is 160 pages (July 29 version) and contains the following references to international standards and guidelines (emphasis added for clarity) (all page numbers refer to the PDF file):

"(B) INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS.—In issuing guidance or regulations… the Secretary shall review international hazard analysis and preventive control standards that are in existence on the date of the enactment of this Act and relevant to such guidelines or regulations to ensure that the programs…..are consistent……with such standards." (p. 35)

"CONSISTENCY WITH INTERNATIONAL OBLIGATIONS.—The Secretary shall apply this paragraph consistently with United States obligations under international agreements." (p. 81)

"The Secretary shall issue regulations to ensure that any qualified certifying entity and its auditors are free from conflicts of interest. In issuing these regulations, the Secretary may rely on or incorporate international certification standards." (p. 82)

This means that there will be a layer of auditors, certifiers and inspectors over every aspect of food production in this country and that these inspectors and certifiers will be trained in ISO (International Standards Organization) management program certification. The ISO has been working with Codex Alimentarius on Food Safety Standards and, in particular, a technical standard for Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) which is a consortium of the seven largest food retailers in the world, and that is ISO22000:2005. All traceability (read NAIS) falls under the purview of Codex, the OIE (World Animal Health Organization) and the IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention) for global trade agreements.

The following excerpt from HR 2749 shows the fully interoperable global network already in existence regarding food and its production:
"Development of such guidelines shall take into account the utilization of existing unique identification schemes and compatibility with customs automated systems, such as integration with the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and the International Trade Data System (ITDS), and any successor systems." (p. 142)

So it is clear that international standards and guidelines are implicit in this legislation. Note the usage of the command form SHALL. This isn't a 'might', 'may' or in anyway a voluntary issue on the part of the Secretary. Then there is the section on Traceability. This is a code word in the National Animal Identification System and when one reads Sec.107 of this bill, it describes specific components of NAIS down to 48-hour trace-back, which cannot even be fantasized about with out individual animal identification.

"…..the Secretary shall issue regulations establishing a tracing system that enables the Secretary to identify each person who grows, produces, manufactures, processes, packs, transports, holds, or sells such food in as short a timeframe as practicable but no longer than 2 business days." [note that it says "grows"] (p. 70)

    and…

"……use a unique identifier for each facility owned or operated by such person for such purpose…" (p. 69)
So we have PIN (Premises Identification Number) and 48-hour traceback harmonizing with international standards and guidelines along with this:

"….‘‘(C) COORDINATION REGARDING FARM IMPACT.—In issuing regulations under this paragraph that will impact farms, the Secretary ‘‘(i) shall coordinate with the Secretary of Agriculture; and ‘‘(ii) take into account the nature of the impact of the regulations on farms." (p. 71)

Now that I've killed you with legalese, it's time to let you find out just what these international standards and guidelines mean to those engaged in agriculture in this country.

    “GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES”

Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) are not a standard in and of themselves. They are a combination of standards and guidelines set forth by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the U.N. (FAO), through both the OIE (World Animal Health Organization) and Codex Alimentarius (Food Code) and IPPC to meet the certification and auditing side of the international trade aspects of the standards set forth. The OIE and Codex are charged with setting global standards and guidelines for the member countries of the WTO to meet and satisfy the SPS (Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary), TBT (Technical Barriers to Trade) and Equivalency agreements of the WTO for participation in international trade. Both the OIE and CODEX have guidelines for traceability that, with the passage of HR2749 into law, would be written into regulations governing all interstate commerce within the boundaries of the United States. The components of traceability are the pillars of NAIS that many of us have become so familiar with in the course of the battle over the past several years. Those being

    1) Premises Identification
    2) Animal Identification and
    3) Animal Tracking.

You can't have traceability under international standards without having those three components.

One of the main issues in the implementation of these standards and guidelines within a member nation of the WTO is that they must have a legal framework through which to regulate and enforce these guidelines and standards. HR 2749 would meet the criteria for that legal framework by way of the excerpts from the bill above.

In the OIE's "Guide to Good Farming Practices" the management of a livestock facility are clearly spelled out. Some of these recommendations that would become defacto law in the US under agency rule-making on passage of HR2749 (GGFP delineates international guidelines for food safety at the farm level) are:

    - For each animal…Require and keep all commercial and health documents enabling their exact itinerary to be traced from their farm or establishment to their final destination…

    - Keep a record of all persons entering the farm…..

    - Keep medical certificates of persons working with the animals……

    - Keep documents proving the water you give to the animals meets specific criteria

    - Keep samples of all feed given to the animals

    - Keep all documents from official inspections

    - Keep records of treatment and procedures on all animals (castration, disbudding, calving, medications, etc.)

    - Prevent domestic animals (cats and dogs) from roaming in and around livestock buildings

    - Place all these documents at the disposal of the competent authority (Veterinary Services) when it conducts farm visits.

Some of the other guidelines and standards that would come into play after the implementation of traceability for all agricultural products would be : (from FAO COAG/17 "Development of a Framework for Good Agricultural Practices") "the adoption and implementation of international standards and codes for which Codex food safety standards and guidelines have been designed, and the associated capacity building, training, development and field implementation in the context of the different production systems and agro-ecozones. These include: Enhancing Food Quality and Safety by Strengthening Handling, Processing and Marketing in the Food Chain (214A9); Capacity Building and Risk Analysis Methodologies for Compliance with Food Safety Standards and Pesticide Control (215P1); Food Quality Control and Consumer Protection (221P5); Food Safety Assessment and Rapid Alert System (221P6); and Food Quality and Safety Throughout the Food Chain (221P8)."*

To be certified as meeting the requirements of "GAP", which is synonymous with being in compliance with international standards and guidelines, we can check out GlobalGAP.org. This is "the" certifying methodology for international trade in ag products. Here are a few excerpts from their 122-page general regulations booklet that has links to checklists for those who would be certifiers and auditors under the principles of GAP. This is an organization, not a governing body under WTO agreements, but working with nations and businesses to meet the criteria regarding these GAP practices for international trade. Here is a bare minimum of excerpts from their regulation document:

-(ii) Developing a Good Agricultural Practice (G.A.P.) framework for benchmarking existing assurance schemes and standards including traceability. (iii) Providing guidance for continuous improvement and the development and understanding of best practice. (iv) Establish a single, recognised framework for independent verification.

-Production Location: A production unit or group of production units, covered by the same ownership, operational procedures, farm management, and GLOBALGAP (EUREPGAP) decision-making activities.

-Within the context of GLOBALGAP (EUREPGAP) Integrated Farm Assurance this means tracing product from the producer’s immediate customer back to the producer and certified farm.

-Within the context of GLOBALGAP (EUREPGAP) Integrated Farm Assurance this means tracking product from the producer to his immediate customer.

In simple English, which appears to be highly lacking in all these guidelines, it means NAIS for everything, and for anyone who wishes to be engaged in agriculture….Remember the "grows" phrase from the earlier excerpt from HR2749. Now let's look at some of the 'exception' clauses in HR2749. This bill is a terrifically crafty piece of legislation that is designed to cloud the reader's understanding of the impact of the law being proposed in it. All of the exception clauses give the exception under this Act so long as you are ready to be regulated under a different Act. We'll just look at a couple of these clauses to allow you to get the gist of the lack of exception available through the exceptions….

    “EXCEPTIONS”
Farms- A farm is exempt from the requirements of this Act to the extent such farm raises animals from which food is derived that is regulated under the Federal Meat Inspection Act, the Poultry Products Inspection Act, or the Egg Products Inspection Act.
    ‘‘(I) such an operation that packs or holds food, provided that all food used in such activities is grown, raised, or consumed on such farm or another farm under the same ownership;

‘‘(II) such an operation that manufactures or processes food, provided that all food used in such activities is consumed on such farm or another farm under the same ownership; (pages9 and10)

Thus, if you grow everything you feed and consume everything you grow, and use no minerals or salts that you don't mine yourself, you may be exempt. Or, in plain English, don't even try to make a living in agriculture if you won't comply with these rules.
One more exception to contend with here is:

‘(A) DIRECT SALES BY FARMS- Food is exempt from the requirements of this subsection if such food is--
‘(i) produced on a farm; and

‘(ii) sold by the owner, operator, or agent in charge of such farm directly to a consumer or to a restaurant or grocery store. (page 71)

This sounds good. However, there are several problems with this that are not evident without some knowledge of how things are done in the traditional avenues open for market to growers. First of all, cattle, whom you may recall as the primary target of the NAIS Business Plan, are often sold either at auction barns or via potload to feedlots. It is illegal to sell beef directly from the farm to consumers in every state that I know of. People often will sell a calf ready to butcher in halves or quarters to people and deliver the calf to the slaughter facility for the consumer, but this is far from the normal route of commerce in cattle or other species of meat animal. Even if you can securely wedge your operation into this particular exemption, they get you later via the record keeping section of this bill:

‘(E) RECORDKEEPING REGARDING PREVIOUS SOURCES AND SUBSEQUENT RECIPIENTS- For a food or person covered by a limitation or exemption under subparagraph (B), (C), or (D), the Secretary shall require each person who produces, receives, manufactures, processes, packs, transports, distributes, or holds such food to maintain records to identify the immediate previous sources of such food and its ingredients and the immediate subsequent recipients of such food.

‘(F) RECORDKEEPING BY RESTAURANTS AND GROCERY STORES - For a food covered by an exemption under subparagraph

(A), restaurants and grocery stores shall keep records documenting the farm that was the source of the food.

‘(G) RECORDKEEPING BY FARMS- For a food covered by an exemption under subparagraph (A), farms shall keep records, in electronic or non-electronic format, for at least 6 months documenting the restaurant or grocery store to which the food was sold.’ (pp. 74-75)

So being exempt means you are required to keep records. Keeping required records means you could be required to release those records. So how exempt can a person get under this legislation? Especially when the slughter facilities will all be regulated unless the USDA already regulates them?

    PENALTIES AND FINES

Then of course, as with any law, there are the fines and penalties. These are from $20,000 to $1,000,000 per violation. (p. 122)

    NO JUDICIAL REVIEW

There is also the change under the seizure section that takes away judicial overview…(double quotations indicate amending language)
…….procedure in cases under this section shall conform, as nearly as may be, to the procedure in admiralty; except that on demand of either party any issue of fact joined in any such case shall be tried by jury, ""and except that, with respect to proceedings relating to food, Rule G of the Supplemental Rules of Admiralty or Maritime Claims and Asset Forfeiture Actions shall not apply in any such case, exigent circumstances shall be deemed to exist for all seizures brought under this section, and the summons and arrest warrant shall be issued by the clerk of the court without court review in any such case""…… (p. 116)

So we can just throw out that pesky Fourth Amendment to the Constitution and while we're at it, let's get rid of probable cause as well via this wording from page 117:

    by striking ‘‘credible evidence or information indicating’’ and inserting ‘‘reason to believe’’;

There are many other dangerous aspects to HR 2749, like seizures, quarantines, and licensing and whistle blower provisions, but this should leave no doubt that this bill will indeed affect farms and has the potential to affect even home food production if an agency decides to apply the international risk analysis schemes to that venue. This bill opens a huge regulatory nightmare that is only evident when one knows what the international guidelines and standards consist of in regard to agriculture. Understanding those, it is highly unlikely that they will issue regulations that keep things as they are now.

Now, the questions that everyone involved in agriculture, meaning everyone who eats, must ask themselves are these:

Can regulating, fining and destroying the freedom of people to grow food create food safety?

Have the impacts of so-called “Free Trade” on this nation been beneficial for the citizens of this country?

Have food safety concerns increased or decreased since we have begun to import more food under these trade agreements?

And ultimately, does the US Constitution provide for the voidance of the Bill of Rights to participate in global trade?

My copy of the Constitution clearly does not allow for any law to void the Bill of Rights which is unalienable and Constitutionally guaranteed. It's time to let our Federal representatives know in no uncertain terms, that everything to do with governance ultimately comes down to the consent of the governed, and we will not consent to being run by international agencies.

My deep thanks to Paul Griepentrog, who helped in going through the legislation and many of the ramifications and amendments to current law under this Act.

HEGELIAN DIALECTIC, PANDEMIC & CREATIVE DESTRUCTION

    By Nancy Levant
    August 7, 2009
    NewsWithViews.com

    Creative Destruction

Creative Destruction is not a new concept. It is, however, a new-age term for the Hegelian Dialectic. Call it what you want, the global results are the same.

In order to achieve one-world governance, existing systems all over the globe had to be dismantled and eliminated. For instance, national sovereignty, national loyalty, national patriotism, personally selected lifestyles, individual beliefs and preferences, and naturally occurring communities versus socially engineered "communities" had to be dismantled, eliminated, and redefined by think tankers financed by philanthropic and government money.

In order to achieve such a tremendous undertaking, money (specifically wages) had to be strategically controlled. Hence, the wildly successful America had to eliminate its jobs. Jobs = wages. Wages = personally selected lifestyles, individual beliefs and preferences, and naturally occurring communities.

Next, the one-world think tankers told us that love of country and specifically patriotism led to "ethnic" battles, conflicts, and domestic terrorism. They also told us that the political expression of and belief in individual freedom was the religious concept of chronically stupid and terrorist-leaning radicals. Keeping in mind that America always accepted immigrants from every country - immigrants and their religious beliefs - the wealthy think tankers decided to incorporate illegal immigration in order that America could be far more "multicultural" and at the same time elevate "racism" to new definitions and levels.

Multi-million illegal immigrants + multi-million jobs eliminated + multi-million nationals losing jobs and homes = a new and improved recipe for racism. Why, you ask?

    The reasons why are obvious:

    1) People are blamers by nature,
    2) "race cards" have always been political manipulators and weapons for all kinds of people and agendas, and
    3) all people are more comfortable around life-kinds, which is exactly why the world is divided up into like-kind regions. It is called human nature.

In the natural world, it is called biology. However, in the world of social engineering on a global scale, it is called the collection of private property, individual freedom, privately owned guns, personal opinions, and middle class wages. It is called the assured collecting of global wealth and natural resources from the world's people. It is called socially engineered theft on a highly professional scale. The wealthy think tankers and the Caucasian powers behind them claim they stand for fairness and equity for the rabble work forces of the world. However, the world remains embroiled in non-stop wars, genocides, death by unusual disease and unnecessary hunger, and growing poverty--except for the world's top and constant one or two percent.

Creative Destruction commands the slow death of nature. In order to achieve the global collection of private property under corporate global governance, nature had to become terminally ill, so we were told, by the merciless treatment of the land-owning rabble. However, before we the rabble were told of our merciless treatment of nature, hundreds of millions of acres all over the world were locked down, without our knowledge, in the form of Biosphere Reserves, conservation corridors, and World Heritage Sites. (To this day, ask your neighbors about Biosphere Reserves. They've never heard of them).

Add to these hundreds of millions of acres every individual burg's watershed systems, state, local, and Federal parks, all the "governed" wetlands, not to mention 90% of the American West and 95% of the State of Alaska and the "international territories" of the Great Lakes "region," Cascadian "region," and the now infamous Southwestern International Border "region" where America's first Third World guerilla war between international drug cartels is currently taking place as the Creative Destruction mechanism for assisting the United Nations to eliminate the Second Amendment. Isn't it amazing to watch America become a Third World loser nation by Creative Destructive design?

Who would have thought it, and it took a bunch of Ivy Leaguers to come up with this extraordinary plan to enrich themselves through financial service to their billionaire masters.

    You go, boys and girls!

Creative Destruction is actually an excellent oxymoron - certainly one of the top ten best of all time - but it is still and only the Hegelian Dialectic. For me, it is sad to think of those who could have stood for and funded truth. Imagine what could have happened if the world's criminal governing cartels would have been exposed by their many insiders, flunkies, prostitutes, and the few who surely understood The Plan in action. Specifically, think of America's wealth in Hollywood, for instance, or in the music or publishing businesses. Think of the many people who were blessed with great success in this country. How sad that not one person came forward to champion freedom from criminal governing cartels and elite thieves. How sad that they ran with the pack to protect themselves instead of championing truth and actual freedom for the world's people. How sad that we are crushed over and over and over again by the mind and heart-numbing sin of greed. How sad that wealth-based arrogance leads to the fear of humanity, which always leads to inhumanity.

As we walk ourselves straight into another dark period of human history, freedom will disappear from our consciousness as we experience the Creative Destruction of the potential for global human freedom. Once the best government that the world ever produced is forgotten, and the last generation of Constitution-understanding people is gone, Socialism/Fascism/Communism, or as the wealthy think tankers like to call it - Communitarianism - will once again try to repress the world's masses by reducing them to useful (translation: lowly paid) laborers for the sole advantage of the world's one percent.

    This we call democracy.

Creative Destruction has produced world democracy. And this is why America now hires and operates a homeland paramilitary consisting of international forces - a new system which holds practice drills in our cities and rural areas in case of, what?...who knows? Ask the wealthy think tankers. My guess is the much advertised pandemic, which will make triple billionaires of even more pharmaceutical corporations while ensuring the democracy of massive global depopulation goals. At any rate, I'm sure the paramilitary connection is thoroughly mapped out as that reality continues to internationalize its growing forces.

It is also important to understand that Creative Destruction works in unexpected ways. For example, you will find this article disturbing:

Couple this article with current military plans to assist FEMA with new and forthcoming quarantine laws, and the plot sickens. Just realize that something is afoot in this new nation of ours, and all is seemingly planned.

There should be nothing as frightening to you as

    1) a seemingly planned pandemic,
    2) a new homeland paramilitary for American civilians,
    3) forcing vaccines into your bodies, and
    4) plans to force-quarantine (translation: imprison) American people for being sick with a designer virus.

Creative Destruction? I would say so.

Medvedev Shows Off Sample Coin of New ‘World Currency’ at G-8

    World Dollar
    http://www.outragedpatriots.com/

July 10 (Bloomberg) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev illustrated his call for a supranational currency to replace the dollar by pulling from his pocket a sample coin of a “united future world currency.”
“Here it is,” Medvedev told reporters today in L’Aquila, Italy, after a summit of the Group of Eight nations. “You can see it and touch it.”
The coin, which bears the words “unity in diversity,” was minted in Belgium and presented to the heads of G-8 delegations, Medvedev said.
The question of a supranational currency “concerns everyone now, even the mints,” Medvedev said. The test coin “means they’re getting ready. I think it’s a good sign that we understand how interdependent we are.”
Medvedev has repeatedly called for creating a mix of regional reserve currencies as part of the drive to address the global financial crisis, while questioning the U.S. dollar’s future as a global reserve currency. Russia’s proposals for the G-20 meeting in London in April included the creation of a supranational currency.
