What if the Federal Reserve dollar falls – hard? How is the globalist blueprint known as Sustainable Development Agenda 21 designed to make humans into livestock? Why liberty must be understood by this generation of Americans lest it be lost for a very long time.

More Americans, an accelerating percentage of ordinary citizens, have come to understand the nature of “fiat” monetary system – that is money created out of thin air. The contemporary fiat system came to the United States in 1913 with the congressional creation of the privately owned United States Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve legislation violated Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution by the issuance of legal tender and brought once again the influence/control of the globalist banking cartel to the U.S.

Today’s global monetary system was originally authorized by the British Parliament. Its purpose was to form the central bank of England as the Bank of England, which is the equivalent to our Federal Reserve, to control a nation’s money.

“Issuing money” means controlling fiat (phony) money creation through the operation of a printing press or computer entry. This results in the regular increase in the money supply which ultimately expresses itself as price inflation.

Newly issued money is infused into the money supply via the creation of debt. Much of this debt is held by the federal government. More money equals more debt. ‘The harder I work’, says the average American, ‘the deeper in debt the nation becomes.’

Growing debt cedes the ultimate exercise of control to the creditor, particularly as the system breaks down under its own largesse. A “new” system is being designed by the same forces who designed today’s fiat system and who now have America close to the brink of dollar destruction. It is the replacement system that we must be wary of if we are to exercise a wise defense and restoration of freedom.

In the meantime keep your faith in the dollar’s viability. Don’t let the blame for its destruction be placed upon the people. The creators of funny (fiat) money have the advantage and they control its destruction; they are wholly responsible.

The power in having charge of the printing press provides control of the direction of government. A thorough analysis of that control would be an illuminating dynamic.

After all, we can begin to think of how Congress has taken physical control over a large percentage of American land in violation of strict constitutional limitations on federal government land ownership. No doubt this centralized land and resource control works to the benefit of the globalist financiers.

Another example: American government, at all levels directs funds and partners with Smart Growth advocates and participants in an effort to remake society while herding people and controlling human action. Smart Growth operates pursuant to the ultimate and documented Agenda 21 objective – to massively reduce human population.

And another: Increasingly Government institutes policies and programs that monitor and control your every action, e.g., TSA, cameras everywhere, Smart Meters, bio-metric drivers’ licenses, and more.

Understand what the global elite’s control of money is doing to the world’s inhabitants.

Thomas Jefferson warned: “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”

Congress has passed legislation that built debt of trillions owed to the Federal Reserve. America’s creditors are the descendants and current representatives of the creators of the globally controlled monetary system in which the Federal Reserve simply participates.

In order to subject America to Globalist political and economic control, Congress has made possible the construction of a financial house of cards – our currency! Fiat systems either implode through the forces of economics or are imploded by those in control.

One can anticipate that the core globalists’ power is planned to increase as they scheme to take charge of the selection of the replacement monetary system. While springing this new monetary system, globalists will have created supporting systems of justice and government for this new monetary model. Such is the New World Order.

This ‘new’ order must be understood to be a process. The question of our time is: How far along is this process?

Advancing Globalism – Agenda 21

The new order grows out of ownership and control of the monetary system. This power already controls: compliant governments around the world, multinational corporations, and education and academia designed to create a new man – one unconnected to the principles of the past. An existent infrastructure for world government has been established that includes the World Bank, the World Trade Organization, the Bank of International Settlements and the United Nations. The United Nations in turn accredits thousands of so-called Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) for the purpose of implementing the United Nations’ Agenda 21. Agenda 21 is the “comprehensive” blueprint for the construction of a global-to-local network of localized outposts of the global order.

Agenda 21 is known in counties across America as “Sustainable Development.” Sustainability policies are now pursued in every county in the United States. Agenda 21 is the globalist program designed to achieve the step-by-step abolition of private property, education for global citizenship and control over human action. This control includes the written objective that human population be reduced by 85%.

As noted above, every county in America has adopted its own Sustainability program. It is often couched in the advancement of the so called Three Es: Equity, meaning the use of sociology and the remaking of the law to meet government’s social objectives and establish a collectivist society; Economics, meaning the international redistribution of America’s wealth and meaning the conversion of our economy from a free enterprise system based on private property to a system of “public private partnership” (otherwise known as economic fascism or corporatism); and Environment, meaning nature before man.

Upon examination one can begin to see how Globalism is advanced through the local implementation of Agenda 21. The key elements of the land use component of Agenda 21 are the Wildlands Network and Smart Growth. Between these two programs, people will be herded into metropolitan environs while made reliant on public transportation and subjected to increasing monitoring. The Wildlands – 50% of America’s land mass plus buffer zones fronting the Wildlands – will be off-limits to ordinary people and to resource extraction. This program is advanced from a thousand points of darkness lead by the environmental movement in action.

The battlefield for Sustainable Development has become local. Agenda 21 is implemented through your city council, County Boards of Commissioners, local water boards, fire boards, school boards and more. Elected officials have accepted the bogus Sustainable “consensus” advocated by NGOs and other followers of Sustainability policy.

A prime player in bringing globalist policy to locales like yours is ICLEI, the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives. Over 600 cities or county governments have treasonous contracts with this international NGO. A handful of cities, recently and in response to an informed citizenry, have cancelled their contracts. In these communities, local policy must now be cleansed of globalist influence. The process has begun. The battle is on! Now is the time to cleanse your town of Agenda 21 policy! KICK ICLEI OUT!

Other significant contributors to Agenda 21 policy at the local level are the federally established Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) and the Councils of Governments (COGs). These soviet style organizations work to impose Sustainability policies in their member jurisdictions. Cities, counties, school districts and other local political subdivisions need to withdraw from these extensions of the federal commitment to implement Agenda 21. It becomes clear that these organization types were created in order to further an evolving globalist agenda. Regionalism is the pathway to New Order governance!

The commitment to Agenda 21 is fully imbedded in American government, business and educational systems.

Restoring America; Every Person Matters

The American ideal was predicated on the idea of the political recognition of the unalienable rights of the individual. That is the notion that human beings are vested by their creator with an unalienable right: to life, to liberty, to the use and enjoyment of private property and to other undesignated rights that are natural to man. This experiment in governance necessarily limited the scope of government power so as to not infringe on these natural rights while charging the citizens as being responsible for their own lives. Accordingly, philosophers, historians, and ordinary people have claimed that America’s Declaration of Independence is mankind’s greatest achievement. Now that achievement is being buried under Agenda 21’s onslaught.

Understanding what we are up against is critical if we are to win the war to defend and restore liberty. That’s why seeing how the global-to-local action people operate – including the legions pursuing globalism within NGOs, academia, multinationals and more – is key if we are to reverse freedom’s fall. Today we need to revive our commitment to human liberty in order to survive the globalist onslaught.

While it is important to know what it is that we are fighting against, it is also necessary to know what we fight for. The fact is that liberty is being abandoned through the plunder of private property and the crush of privacy engineered through a system of fiat money created and manipulated by those with a maniacal pursuit to control the human species.

So what is the liberty we cherish? Liberty exists when there is a political recognition that everyman owns his life, when justice is applied equally, and when the economy proceeds naturally on the basis of free enterprise. Liberty acknowledges that man is nature’s steward and that stewardship is best advanced under a system of personal responsibility pursued in the context of advancing one’s own life. A private property forest owner has as a primary interest the long term protection of the land’s resource. This is why genuine private property rewards both its owner with continuing income and the market he serves with ample product.

Why is America the only place where human beings have lived free? The answer is simple. America is the only place where the government has recognized that every person is vested with certain unalienable rights. America falls as that recognition fades.

How does America revive? We must establish an honest monetary system and we must cleanse our municipal, state and federal laws of globalist policy as articulated in the Action plan of Agenda 21. As a consequence, we will: withdraw from internationalist organizations, restructure debt, massively shrink the scope of governmental operations, and reassume the American form of limited government where individual liberty can thrive.

Hope, predicated on a commitment to restore the principles of liberty, is rising. The course of the future is up to you.

ABC News reports that people are reacting to the Army Corps of Engineers decision to release even more water into the raging river Sunday. Some people in the flooded breadbasket farmlands are also reacting to the federal government mailing letters to them, notifying that the Army Corps of Engineers will buy their all but now ruined land, in what some rights defenders say has hallmarks of Agenda 21's Wildlands Project that abolishes private property.

Home owners are astonished that the Army Corps of Engineers opened the dams, even exploded some levees, that caused strong, heavy flooding, including at two nuclear power plants and now want to buy the land. A similar scenario happened in south Louisiana that eventuated in a long-term legal battle according to WDSU TV News. (Watch: "17th Street Canal Coalition.wmv" Youtube)

Farmers threatened with flooding had written to the Examiner weeks ago, before flooded out of their properties, saying "this is the big question nobody is asking, 'Why has the ACoE had not already started gradually opening the northern dams, in a slow fashion to prevent flooding us?" Now, some of these farmers say they have their answer.

We are wasteful with our natural resources and have reduced biodiversity. Therefore, when we read about groups and organisations calling for a 'green revolution' and a new relationship between humanity and nature it is easy to agree with their ideas. 

However, certain aspects of the modern green movement that is permeating every segment of our society are not about protecting the environment. You don’t have to dig very deep to discover the true beliefs of the influential leaders who are using genuine concerns about the environment to promote an agenda of fear and control. THE PARADOX OF ROADS AND BRIDGES

We are told that the building of roads and bridges will “stimulate” the economy. Isn’t that something…? In America’s new five and six county “regions,” only one or two cities in these regions are slated to receive “development” or growth dollars according to the Grand Visions of the regional councils of appointed leaders. These new multi-county regions, and in all 50 states, tell us that development will not include money to build or maintain roads except for those in the one or two target regional hubs or cities.

Now, these designated multi-regional, multi-county hubs also mandate pedestrian walkways and bicycle paths to very purposefully discourage automobile travel. In fact, all multi-regional cities who receive stimulus dollars mandate the building of pedestrian and bicycle paths. Let us add to this equation, the failing auto industry, governmental leans on the failing auto industry, and the fact that jobless Americans cannot afford to drive nor insure automobiles. Let us also include the road removals in America’s rural and wilderness areas, which, of course also makes impossible travel and mobility. And we know where the eco-community stands on our use of filthy automobiles.

Clearly, we find another governmental paradox of dialectic proportions. Therefore, let us ponder road building in a new governmental era that prefers us not to drive, clearly limits and discourages mobility and tells us it is unconscionable to pollute with automobiles when obese Americans should be walking and biking our way to governmentally-imposed weight standards, or else charged with a personal pollution tax (carbon credits) to drive and only in designated and very limited areas.

Clearly, our days of the free and wonderful use of automobiles, specifically as a reflection of a very free society, are over. As with everything else, including the groceries, healthcare, and education, “highly limited” are the keywords of the New American way of controlled life. And still, the governmental answer to our (their) economy is “the building of roads and bridges.” Well, you can pretty much guarantee that this stimulus plan ties directly into the new international transportation system, the super-highway and rail systems which will primarily serve corporate and military interests.

We, however, won’t be served by these new transportation systems minus our forced-to-pay for high-speed rails which will be for the full purpose of transporting you and myself back and forth to our tax-generating, corporate-serving job or civilian service details. After all, universal service, I assume, means universal service. I don’t think it will be voluntary service but more like mandatory civilian labor.

One of the greatest expressions of freedom in America was our ability to travel, to move to other locations, to choose other jobs, and to drive into and through the country at will, to drive into the farmland, the wilderness areas — deep into the forest and to experience the beauty of the nation through the freedom of mobility. This freedom connected us to our nation as nothing else could — to experience its beauty, its natural diversity, and to meet and experience people all over our nation, their dialect, their cultures and arts, and to enjoy and cherish the joy of our multiculturalism, instead of the forced politics of government multiculturalism.

The nation was so much better prior to Washington D.C.’s takeover and governmental polluting of America. Now they tell us they can fix this country with more controls, more laws, more land confiscations, more oversight of people and property, more taxes, more national debt, and a homeland military. Don’t forget the Real (national) ID. I’m sure they hope you will forget.

One cannot help but wonder, when the world has experienced and continues to experience wars all over the planet, if it’s not America’s turn to keep the war economy wheels turning. Europe had their turn which made billionaires of many. The mid-east experiences their turn also creating billions in corporate rebuilding wealth. Asia has experienced their turn, which forced them into the industrial and technological business models. And now America, I fear, faces her turn to comply with something new and surely forced down her throat.

Roads and bridges? The curtailing of mobility? The failing auto industry to assist in the curtailing of mobility and yet we are to fix the economy with roads and bridges? You tell me what is wrong with this picture. You tell me why the government, and how “the world” owns our wilderness areas making us trespassers in our nation. The question we must ask is, to where do these roads and bridges lead?

A CRY FOR THE CHILDREN

This life is a mountainous road, and we are its travelers. Our journey is filled with bumps and potholes to be avoided. On either side of us are steep cliffs, the boundaries of which, if violated, can lead to utter destruction. Along the path, many signs are posted which warn us of potential dangers that lie ahead.

At times, we cheerfully travel without care — the blue skies and sunshine brilliantly lighting our way. We grow, we learn, we work, we fall in love, we marry, and we make babies and the cycle begins anew.

Life is a cycle. We enter the world as infants, dependent upon others. We have no knowledge, manners, or consideration of anyone but ourselves. Our concern involves only our own contentment at the moment. As we mature, the spectrum of our thoughts widens to include less of ourselves and more of others. We find our purpose is to live for those around us. We experience satisfaction and even joy in the giving of ourselves.

With age comes fragility and weakness. We begin to decrease in our abilities and increase in our dependence. Soon, others think and make decisions for us. Those for whom we’ve cared, become burdened with the task of caring for us. We become naive, vulnerable, and concerned only in the contentment of the moment. Life is, indeed, a cycle.

There are times, on our journey down life’s road, when we notice the storm clouds are beginning to form and the gales of change begin to blow, challenging the core of our souls. We tremble as, in the distance, we hear the threatening claps of thunder violating our tranquility, piercing our inner being with uncertainty.

It is in these tumultuous times, we ponder those around us. We wonder and worry about those who are most vulnerable among us. Our thoughts fall upon the elderly, our aging parents and grandparents. But most of all, we fear for the children.

Your writer is the father of two little girls. Actually, they aren’t quite so little anymore, as they’ve approached those oft-dreaded teenage years, when the transition from childhood to adulthood becomes apparent. As much as we’d like, we cannot keep them young forever. But with the maturity process, also comes an inevitable loss of innocence.

This innocence is best demonstrated in an incident I recall from a few years ago. As I was driving home through the countryside, my two daughters were in the car chattering away, as girls often do. A breeze ruffled our hair, as the perfumed country air entered the windows.

All at once, my youngest asked, “What’s that smell?”

“That’s the smell of nature,” I answered.

She pondered those words for a moment and then thoughtfully replied, “I’ve never smelled nature before.”

Without hesitation, my oldest daughter blurted out, “Get sprayed by a skunk and you’ll smell nature!”

Ah, “nature” from the perspective of a child! Without intent, children have a way of making us smile. Children enrich our lives beyond measure. Theirs is a perspective that is often untarnished by the harsh realities of a cruel world.

Yet, more and more, when I look into my daughters’ eyes, my smile often disappears as concern grips me. I see the next generation as one that will never know the meaning of true freedom. They will never know what it means to live without the constant fear of impending peril. Theirs is a generation that is being reared in a world filled with government-sponsored terror campaigns, alarm bells and whistles, high betrayal and outright treachery.

Their futures have being given away by sellout politicians to foreign interests in the name of fighting global poverty. Their ability to own, work, and live on the land has largely been ripped away from them at break-neck speed by Agenda 21 implementation, and no one seems to care. Even in the so-called “patriot” community, Agenda 21 is rarely discussed despite the fact that it is highly documentable, and every issue centers around its implementation, which is now 17 years underway.

What kind of government will our children inherit from us? What will be the legacy that we leave for them when our country is thoroughly bankrupt, has been for decades, but continues to borrow, print, and spend against the productivity and on the backs of future generations? How many generations, yet to be conceived, will be paying for the blatant and criminal looting of the American purse that is daily and contemptuously shoved in our faces?

The Bank for International Settlements is based in Basle, Switzerland and serves as the central bank for “our” very own Federal Reserve as well as other central banks around the world. Are we to believe that it is a mere coincidence that its headquarters building is built in the shape of a boot?

How does that make you feel, America, knowing their financial boot of poverty and enslavement will be crushing the tender faces of your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren for centuries and, perhaps, forever? Is that not enough motivation for you to turn off your Simpsons, Entertainment Tonight, South Park, Comedy Central, your video games, your movies, your music concerts, and your sports shows, put down your beer and potato chips and at least make an effort for your country?

Will you continue to be worthless to the cause of freedom as you pursue your personal pleasures and entertainments, sitting idly by, while the America that you were able to enjoy is ripped away from those who come after you? If you don’t care about your country, will not your love for your posterity compel you to ward off your lethargy and animate yourself in the battle to preserve, protect, and restore our once-great republic? Or have the drugs of personal pacification rendered you maim, deaf, and dumb as you suck up the myriad lies and deceptions of your prostitute masters like a desert camel at a long-sought oasis? Will you continue to operate within the false dialectic that federal elections actually count for something, when the “opposing” party continues the wholesale destruction right where his predecessor abated?

Our children are being socially and intellectually conditioned to be world citizens. They are trained like animals to respond to immediate gratification, to lose their individuality and to be a part of a “community”. They are being indoctrinated with the religion of Gaia through their schools, courtesy of UNESCO and the tax-exempt foundations that write their text books.

They are bombarded with sexual pressures and imagery from the media and their peers. Their parents are too busy or too self-absorbed to provide the necessary guidance, boundaries, enforcement, and love that is required to shape their young lives. As a result, we are losing the next generation. Drugs, gangs, and pre-marital sex are filling the void where real parenting once stood.

Occultism and violence are purposefully and thoroughly embedded within today’s youth culture. They are prevalent in television, movies, video games — and now even commercial marketing campaigns!

For example, Japanese automaker Toyota rolled out a marketing campaign a couple of years ago for their Toyota Scion. Young people were the targeted demographic. A part of the marketing campaign was a web site-based video game called “Little Deviant.”

In the game, young players were introduced to a monochromatic world where environmental destruction is extremely apparent. Sound familiar? It gets worse.

The opening scene is a city slum, populated with creatures that appear to be human-sheep hybrids. The player is told that these “sheople” have “spread their grey disease” throughout the world. How many times have you heard the “sustainable development” crowd say that about you? How many times have you heard the whacko environmentalist extremists, from the UN on down, say that human beings are a cancer on earth? How many times have you read their documents detailing their own paid demographers’ projections about the rapid rise in population, the overcrowding of our cities, the overuse of resources, the need to curtail “urban sprawl?”

Bear in mind that the earth still possesses vast landscapes that are being put off limits to human habitation or use. There are hectares of land which could be lived upon, farmed, and properly managed if ordinary people would support one another when we’re targeted for removal.

What is the solution to over-crowded cities, human slums, over-use of the earth’s vast resources as defined by the psychopathic elites? We again turn our attention to the “Little Deviant” game.

Because these environment-degrading “sheople” are “boring,” the young player is urged to go door to door, in the fictional town, finding and ruthlessly slaughtering them. A deep-throated announcer urges, “turn their awful bleating into awesome bleeding.”

The “sheople” are harmless, innocent, helpless creatures who tremble at the sight of the player’s character — which can only be described as demonic-looking. As the “sheople” stand and tremble in terror, the player ruthlessly slashes them to pieces, their blood runs into the street, down a man whole and drips into a reservoir which appears elsewhere on the screen. Players are told they are to collect the blood of the “sheople” and it is used later in the game to lubricate the industrial machinery which manufactures the Toyota Scion.

What kind of a sick, demented mind would concoct such a mechanism to market an automobile? What underlying purpose could there be behind the desensitization process which is inherent in much of today’s youth culture? Are young people being conditioned to lose their sensitivity to the suffering of others? If so, then why? Could the next generation be the victims of a mass effort to program their subconscious so they won’t recoil in horror if asked to take part in heinous acts by their government? Are the ruling elite preparing our young people for the inevitable collapse of our monetary system, the famines that are being engineered for us, the crumbling social contract, and the ensuing chaos that they intend to use to usher in their new order?

There can be no doubt that children and youth have a vital role to play, not only as leaders of tomorrow, but as leaders of today. Chapter 25 of Agenda 21 outlines the importance of young people in the implementation of the Plan. It says,

“It is imperative that youth from all parts of the world participate actively in all relevant levels of decision-making processes because it affects their lives today and has implications for their futures. In addition to their intellectual contribution and their ability to mobilize support, they bring unique perspectives that need to be taken into account.”

What “unique perspectives” could children possess? They haven’t lived long enough to garner the necessary experiences and education to form sound opinions. Isn’t it interesting that the United Nations doesn’t seek input from the older, more experienced generation? Could these “unique perspectives” to which the global planners allude, be the results of their unrelenting indoctrination and conditioning of our young people?

The American people have become some of the most drugged up, dumbed down, brain-numbed, and media-manipulated people in the history of known civilization. The inability or unwillingness of the citizenry to examine what they are being told, to research and dig for documentation, and to demand answers to key questions of their public officials will be the chief factor in America’s demise.

America’s rise as a great and wealthy industrial nation has afforded us some of the highest standards of living in the world. We’ve gotten very comfortable with our central air-conditioned homes and offices, our backyard swimming pools and spas, our designer clothing, and our freezers crammed full of frozen and convenience foods. We are pacified with television, movies, video games, sports, music, and a million other meaningless diversions.

We’ve become so occupied with the pursuit of creature comforts and entertainments, that we don’t have the time to be concerned about the well-being of the system of government that made it all possible. And, as a result, we are losing it all. It is all being taken away from us by social scientists who are intent on engineering utopia on earth for themselves.

But when the final chapter is written, and the book is slammed shut which tells the story of what was once the greatest experiment in freedom humanity has ever known, our greatest loss will not be our freedom, our privacy, our jobs, our fortunes, our land, our food, our water, and the air that we breathe. The greatest loss Americans and the world will ever know, is if we allow the social engineers, architects, visioneers, and foundational think tanks — in mind, body, and soul — to take our children. If we allow that to happen, we will truly be the most bankrupt people the world has ever known.

Financial Coup d’Etat/Rethinking Diversification

In the fall of 2001 I attended a private investment conference in London to give a paper, The Myth of the Rule of Law or How the Money Works: The Destruction of Hamilton Securities Group.

The presentation documented my experience with a Washington-Wall Street partnership that had:

• Engineered a fraudulent housing and debt bubble;
• Illegally shifted vast amounts of capital out of the U.S.;
• Used “privitization” as form or piracy - a pretext to move government assets to private investors at below-market prices and then shift private liabilities back to government at no cost to the private liability holder.

Other presenters at the conference included distinguished reporters covering privatization in Eastern Europe and Russia. As the portraits of British ancestors stared down upon us, we listened to story after story of global privatization throughout the 1990s in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Slowly, as the pieces fit together, we shared a horrifying epiphany: the banks, corporations and investors acting in each global region were the exact same players. They were a relatively small group that reappeared again and again in Russia, Eastern Europe, and Asia accompanied by the same well-known accounting firms and law firms.

Clearly, there was a global financial coup d’etat underway.

The magnitude of what was happening was overwhelming. In the 1990’s, millions of people in Russia had woken up to find their bank accounts and pension funds simply gone – eradicated by a falling currency or stolen by mobsters who laundered money back into big New York Fed member banks for reinvestment to fuel the debt bubble.

Reports of politicians, government officials, academics, and intelligence agencies facilitating the racketeering and theft were compelling. One lawyer in Russia, living without electricity and growing food to prevent starvation, was quoted as saying, “We are being de-modernized.”

Several years earlier, I listened to three peasant women describe the War on Drugs in their respective countries: Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia. I asked them, “After they sweep you into camps, who gets your land and at what price?” My question opened a magic door. They poured out how the real economics worked on the War on Drugs, including the stealing of land and government contracts to build housing for the people who are displaced.

At one point, suspicious of my understanding of how this game worked, one of the women said, “You say you have never been to our countries, yet you understand exactly how the money works. How is this so?” I replied that I had served as Assistant Secretary of Housing at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the United States where I oversaw billions of government investment in US communities. Apparently, it worked the same way in their countries as it worked in mine.

I later found out that the government contractor leading the War on Drugs strategy for U.S. aid to Peru, Colombia and Bolivia was the same contractor in charge of knowledge management for HUD enforcement. This Washington-Wall Street game was a global game. The peasant women of Latin America were up against the same financial pirates and business model as the people in South Central Los Angeles, West Philadelphia, Baltimore and the South Bronx.

Later, courageous reporting by Naomi Klein and Greg Palast confirmed in detail that the privitization and economic warfare model I discussed in London had deep roots in Latin America.

We were experiencing a global “heist”: capital was being sucked out of country after country. The presentation I gave in London revealed a piece of the puzzle that was difficult for the audience to fathom. This was not simply happening in the emerging markets. It was happening in America, too.

I described a meeting that had occurred in April 1997, more than four years before that day in London. I had given a presentation to a distinguished group of U.S. pension fund leaders on the extraordinary opportunity to reengineer the U.S. federal budget. I presented our estimate that the prior year’s federal investment in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area had a negative return on investment.

We presented that it was possible to finance places with private equity and reengineer the government investment to a positive return and, as a result, generate significant capital gains. Hence, it was possible to use U.S. pension funds to significantly increase retirees’ retirement security by successfully investing in American communities, small business and farms — all in a manner that would reduce debt, improve skills, and create jobs.

The response from the pension fund investors to this analysis was quite positive until the President of the CalPERS pension fund — the largest in the country — said, “You don’t understand. It’s too late. They have given up on the country. They are moving all the money out in the fall [of 1997]. They are moving it to Asia.”

Sure enough, that fall, significant amounts of moneys started leaving the US, including illegally. Over $4 trillion went missing from the US government. No one seemed to notice. Misled into thinking we were in a boom economy by a fraudulent debt bubble engineered with force and intention from the highest levels of the financial system, Americans were engaging in an orgy of consumption that was liquidating the real financial equity we needed urgently to reposition ourselves for the times ahead.

The mood that afternoon in London was quite sober. The question hung in the air, unspoken: once the bubble was over, was the time coming when we, too, would be “de-modernized?”

In 2009 — more than seven years later — this is a question that many of us are asking ourselves.

Part II: Rethinking Diversification

For our entire lives, most of us have depended on highly centralized systems. Our food comes from a thousand or more miles away. Our savings is shipped into distant financial centers and invested by strangers in enterprises run by strangers. We watch highly scripted news that serves the same spin no matter how many channels we try. We bank at impersonal global banks with criminal records that would make a felon blush and have no idea where our money goes, just that the government guarantees that we will get it back.

Within this centralized system, diversification means having your financial assets deposited into a “one-stop-shop” brokerage account invested in securities representing different global industries, the idea being when one industry is doing poorly, another “countercyclical” industry would be doing well.

But suddenly, we find that we may not be able to trust these centralized systems. Suddenly, traditional portfolio theory no longer addresses our anxiety. This is because we need to shift from diversification within a centralized system to real diversification in a decentralized, possibly “out of control” world.

If you study the investment patterns of families and wealth that has survived through the generations, including through periods of lawlessness and warfare, you come to understand that for those who want to thrive in all economic and political scenarios, diversification has had a far deeper meaning than what is commonly understood in the financial markets today. For the astute strategist, it means not putting all your eggs in one basket in every important aspect of your life. Given what is happening in our world and economy, it’s time to revisit the deeper meaning of diversification.

Diversification means that our assets are invested such that an economic, political, or natural event — particularly a catastrophic event — cannot wipe us out. So, for example, we don’t invest all of our savings in a single financial institution or fund. Investors who lost their life savings in the Madoff scandal were not practicing even the most basic form of financial diversification.

Diversification also means having multiple types of assets and custodians in multiple places. Custodians (i.e., those who hold our assets for us) might be brokerage firms, banks, depositories or our own safe.

Diversification by place means locating our assets in states or countries subject to different legal and political risks. It means denominating our assets in currencies of multiple countries. It means selecting assets subject to different risks of loss due to climate change, weather conditions, social conditions and other uniquely local vicissitudes. Local investment is a great idea, but the people who lived through Katrina can tell you why having all of your eggs in one local basket may not be the best idea.

Diversification means that we don’t have all of our savings in just one type of asset. So we don’t invest in securities only — we also invest in tangibles. If possible, we buy a house without debt, or with debt that can be serviced by one family member’s income, or invest in our home to lower energy and food costs permanently. We also maintain a sufficient inventory of household goods. And it’s a good idea to invest in disaster preparedness if we live in an area that experiences earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, or tornadoes or  is prone to power outages.

Having all your money in one currency or one country is pretty risky – a risk many in the US tend to take. Ask your Jewish friends whose parents got out of Germany in time because they had gold coins or family and assets abroad. Gold coins may hold their value if the dollar collapses, but they can also disappear in a burglary or if you forget where you put them. Digital gold may be a great thing, but if the Internet is not reliable where you are, cold cash may be a good thing. Or if your cash is worthless, a stockpile of food, vitamins and liquor can be priceless. However, food, vitamins and liquor are only good when you are bartering with someone who wants them or is close by. Which takes us back to gold coins or digital gold or some other currencies. So you see, there is no magic bullet – just diversification.

Diversification of life risks is an integral part of all matters related to financial capital. Living things are the source of all wealth. That includes you and me.

Diversification means that we invest in our physical and mental well-being. We invest our time in understanding the toxic chemicals, drugs and other influences that increasingly contribute to poor health and cause us to need so much more funding for more drugs and medical treatments to cure what ails us. One of the greatest – and growing — threats to our financial health is physical illness. The notion that corporate stock investments will create security while one saves money eating unhealthy food is contradictory to the principles of building real wealth.

Diversification means that we invest not just in our own human capital but also in the human capital of other members of our family and those around us. In this way, we are not betting on financial assets alone to see us through. We are investing in each other because it is family, friends and communities that help see us through. An active network of mutually-supportive friends and colleagues is important. For those with sufficient capital and skills, financing the farmers and companies we depend on for our daily bread may not provide much of a return — it may, however, ensure that we have healthy, safe food.

Diversification also applies to the work we do. For most people, our labor is our most important source of financial assets. Skill diversity can mean, for example, that you have a number of skills. If one skill goes out of favor, another will give you the ability to be economically useful. If you have a business that fails, you have the ability to start a new business because you have the experience and diversity of skills to make a business run.

The ability to generate income through your own business or practice is invaluable, particularly when the economic environment makes “W-2” employment more difficult to find. If you are an employee and your company closes, if you have taken care to broaden your skill base, your skills can be valuable commodities for other, different types of employers or employers in other industries or places less affected by a downturn. Better yet, you know how to do many things for yourself, thus offsetting lost income with lower expenses. Look at those who are successful in the current environment: what most of them share is a commitment to life-long learning that translates into a multitude of personal and professional skills.

Diversification is not always easy to achieve. The more resources we have, the easier it is to diversify. The fewer resources we have, the more our diversification focuses on building our human capital and community. Interestingly enough, many of the best opportunities before us are those that can happen when people who have a lot of money and people who don’t have money but have a lot of skills become allies in building greater diversification together. Isolation shrinks our options. Opportunities expand as we organize and collaborate effectively. Hence, it is critical to not assume financial capital can provide sufficient diversification alone and remain isolated from our neighbors and family.

Senator Ensign’s statement is a truth worth screaming and clarifying. The cancer that infected our economy was and remains the intention of politicians and their financial and career string pullers to eliminate private property rights. If you choose to call that “housing”, so be it. But masking this truth by manipulating the American people with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG failures, etcetera, etcetera, ain’t gonna fly.

In 1992, the United Nations stated in its blueprint for the 21st century (Agenda 21) that there is to be no privately-held property — be it land or the homes that sit upon the land — for anyone. All property, according to Agenda 21, is to be “owned” by government. Agenda 21 also details the plan for “human relocation” stating that all member nations must implement “human relocation” plans. So today, we witness flood, fire, snow and ice, and power-grid relocations — annually — and with Homeland military assistance/insistence. We, as the people of this nation, are indeed “relocating.”

And to where are we relocating? That depends upon the decisions your local regional councils have made — the appointees whose names you do not know — regarding which locale will receive development dollars and which areas are to be closed down for nature’s sake. It’s funny how the nation’s rural areas are in annual “natural crisis” while specifically-identified urban areas are highly and solely developed. Small towns and burgs are dying and jobs, mostly $7 to $10 per hour jobs, are increasing in regionally-identified and funded urban areas.

And then, we have “stimulus” dollars in the billions going to national parks, and state and federal wilderness areas while no dollars go to small towns, rural, and dying America. So to our politicians I ask: How, exactly, does one live in a designated “human settlement”, as so stated in Agenda 21, on an $8 to $10 per hour job? How does one support a home or rent, utility bills, cable/internet bills, automobiles, transportation to and from work, insurance, and food with low-wage part time jobs?

The urban areas, as we know, are completely overtaken by corporate chain businesses which pay minimum wages to their part time employees. Equally, we know that good jobs always go to community movers, shakers, their friends, families, and social development associates. We also hear that higher education is being cut off from the minimum wage masses as universities are turning away college applicants and cutting off financial aid opportunities.

So as we get poorer, less and less educated, and transplanted to new areas, new lifestyles, and with no “social” contacts to ensure full time employment, the question is very simple. What percentage of the American population is required to fulfill the “equity” clauses of Agenda 21? How many people in America are designated to live like poverty-stricken third-worlders to achieve global equity and a “local” third-world labor force for political corporations?

And one more question: Since the “government” now owns the nations largest mortgage holders (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, etc.), do they own your homes and property as well? You know, the homes and property you can no longer pay for? I suggest you watch for the federal rental solution. Soon, America, you will be paying rent to the feds to live in “their” housing. One plus one equals two. Even the uneducated masses can figure that one out.
